The City of North Miami Beach continues in a cycle of filling square pegs in round holes. It’s time for our elected officials to “Wake Up” and start holding accountable those they hire. Little progress is made during commission meetings with concerns constantly being pushed to the next meeting without resolution. We are still dealing with unresolved ARPA funding issues spanning two administrations. The CRA appears stagnant, and CITT funds are primarily going toward transportation without clear accountability on whether the spending aligns with actual ridership needs. Contracts are delayed, one city project has incurred an excessive amount of borrowing, burdening residents for years, and consultants are thriving while our government fails to hire the right staff to manage general tasks in-house.
We’re calling on residents to get involved in your city! Did you know there’s an important conversation about keeping or eliminating fluoride in your drinking water? Did you know the Mayor is advocating for septic to sewer conversion? Instead of focusing so much of your attention on national politics you have little control of, make a real impact where it matters most—right here in your own community. Your participation will help drive progress and give you a stronger voice in shaping the future of local government.
